Rev Run.  If you are not familiar is part of the famous hip-hop trio RUN DMC.  LEGENDS!  I was at the 2004 Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas and we were in a press room where celebs were moved by their publicists from radio station to radio station talking about their upcoming projects.  Now prior to arrival we were handed a list of celebrities in attendance so we could prepare material to talk to these celebrities about.  Not on the list was Joseph Simmons aka Rev Run who many know from his recent reality TV show Run's House.

Mind you it was 2004 and noone had seen his reality show yet as that started in 2005, so he was there pimpin that.  I didn't mind.  The guy is a music legend and helped form Def Jam Records.  Obviously there was no shortage of things to ask this guy.  I couldn't believe it, some of the other dj's were asking me who this guy was!  He was outfitted in the hat and of course his Adidas!

He was a very insightful guy and if you follow him on twitter you know he is full of wisdom.  He's a family guy and has strong values and shared some of his stories about the ground breaking beginnings of hip hop.  I was a little star struck but Rev Run was awesome to talk to!
