Story and Comments
Working in radio, we have opportunities to be a part of artist meet n greets before or after their performances in our home city.
Meet n greets are usually held backstage or in some roped off area within the venue. There is usually some sort of line and then either individually or with a group you meet the artist and are able to take a photo. Sometimes the artist will do autographs as well, alot of it depends on time, the artist and amount of people inside a given meet n greet.
For this particular meet n greet with Lady Gaga after her first visit to Orlando, she blew the crowd away. Her style of performance left many gasping for air and few leaving saying, "what did I just witness." After the show we were doing groups of photos with the radio station folks. I decided I was going to just have fun with this artist photo.
Instead of point, click, smile, next...I started making goofy faces in behind and to the side of Lady Gaga. With this story you'll see an example of what I am talking about. Let's just say, Lady Gaga wasn't the only one acting a little freaky that night. There were actually a few of my colleagues who were getting a kick out of my photobombing of their Lady Gaga meet n greet photos.
I do have to say Lady Gaga got a kick out of it too as soon as someone pointed out by the 3rd photo I was making goofy faces. Gaga turns to me and says "good times."
Indeed.
As for Gaga herself. What is she like. Actually very quiet during the meet n greet for the most part. For someone as flamboyant as she is on stage, she was very reserved.
Kinda shocking.
