This weekend Megan Fox is in the headlines. No different from last weekend. Or the weekend before. And the weekend before that.
But in a series of new interviews, Megan Fox is finally expressing her frustration with people who paint the actress in a negative light.
This weekend, Megan Fox tells the New York Times: “Girls think I’m a slut, and I’ve been in the same relationship since I was 18. The problem is, if they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a whore or a dumb whore."
Ever since exploding onto the national scene, Megan Fox has dealt with critics placing labels on her "persona." But according to Fox, the labels aren't accurate.
And I for one believe her.
My meeting with Megan Fox last year was so brief that the word "encounter" is probably a more appropriate description for my brush with the young Hollywood beauty who has captivated our collective imagination.
Passing Ms. Fox outside the KTLA studio in Los Angeles, our brief exchange of greetings was hardly sufficient to give me a true sense of who Megan Fox really is. But I saw all that I needed to see as Megan and I parted ways and a throng of young fans flocked to her, effectively stopping Ms. Fox from jumping in a waiting limo that, judging by the frantic faces of her handlers, was already late for its destination.
But Megan Fox wasn't rushed in the least. And I stood and watched as the actress consistently depicted in the media as a "tough chick" and a "heartless hottie" patiently signed autographs and posed for photos with everyone who ran to her. Megan Fox was gracious to spend so much time with the fifteen to twenty youngsters in her presence that I found myself off to a meeting before Ms. Fox had even finished her impromptu meet-and-greet.
Indeed, there is always another side of every celebrity reputation - sometimes good, sometimes bad. But I saw enough of Megan Fox to learn one thing. No matter what people think of Megan Fox as an actress, she made a "transformer" out of me. I now view the gorgeous young star with a whole new respect - a reality born of how much respect Megan Fox shows others.
But you probably won't read about that in the headlines.

If much of your career is spent advertising to the world the image, views and values of a slut, even calling it "art", is it any wonder why so many would place Miss Fox near that category? A prostitute gives sex for money. Isn't that what Megan has done? It simply wasn't her "partner" footing the bill. And certainly Megan is not along in this age-old career.
